Intl. / Mex. Ch. Canon Creeks Halis

Halis is a three and a half year old female Anatolian Shepherd Dog living in San Diego County (California).  She is a gray fawn with black mask.  She weighs about 125 pounds and stands 30-31 inches at the shoulder.

Halis is a LOVE!  A happy spirited dog that can truly make you laugh...she's a real goofus!  She just loves to lie on her back with her feet in the air and have her tummy rubbed.  She loves her toys.  Halis has  shown love for little puppies, but she has issues with adult dogs -- especially when it comes to her food dish. She has never been around cats.  She is a dog that wants to be spoiled rotten -- to be the only dog on the property.  She loves to sleep in the house at the foot of her master's hospital bed.  She is a wonderful property guardian dog but accepts people very well.  She has a very long, slurpy tongue and knows how to use it.

Halis is AKC registered and is an International (FCI) and Mexican Champion.  She almost completed her AKC champion, but due to her owners' medical problems, they were no longer able to take her to shows.  She has been spayed.

Halis came from a very respected breeder in Northern California, however the breeder passed away two years ago and her husband has remarried and is moving from the ranch where Halis was born.  Both her sire and dam are well-known livestock guardians with outstanding pedigrees.  While Halis has not been with livestock, with careful supervision over a period of time, she could possibly develop into a working dog.  Her one character issue is that she is food aggressive around other dogs (or animals).  She needs to be fed alone.

Due to their medical issues, the owners are searching for a new home for Halis with responsible owners that can physically handle her ( i.e. owners that are well-built physically and strong) and willing to give her oodles of love and TLC.  Due to her very large size (for a female) and her physical strength, she would do best in a home with no children.
